I am experimenting a lot currently and I think that when you add to Map1.CustomOverlays more than 1 WMS overlay and 6 Layer Overlay then there is an error on the client side wants to refresh the overlay number 7..... If needed I can replicate the bug without any problem.

Thanks for your post! I have a few questions that may help get to the bottom of things:
What is the IsBaseOverlay property set to on each of the overlays?
Also what is the reason to have 6 different Layer Overlays? While this is technically possible it’s quite a few and I’m afraid your performance will suffer since each overlay draw’s it’s own bitmap. Can you give us some ideas of why you want so many overlays and maybe we can provide some other approaches. If there is a valid reason for that many different LayerOverlays then go ahead and post a sample app replicating the bug and we can take a look.

I am using Ajax a lot for the communication and on the client side i have yet to find how to refresh a layer with an overlay.

When using AJAX, I think you wrote some code to refresh the client overlays by Javascript, would you mind to show some client code so that we can check how your application work; and then we can make a demo to recreate your issue.
