Question for displaing google map by Map Suite Web Edition 6.0‏

 had installed the Map suite web edition 6.0 in my development computer successfully (with the license Key from your company). The situation is the computer is forbidden to connect Internet but just open maps.google.com for software development. Currently we cannot load the google map. In the Code Samples, if we add the GoogleOverlay, we must set the its JavaScriptLibraryUri=maps.google.com/maps/api/js?v=3.5&sensor=false.


 


So my question is: If I want to display Google map by Web Edition in the development computer, how should we do? Or which web page should we open for the computer?

 There is a property named SendingWebRequest when you using GoogleMapsLayer, could you please get the reques uri and copy the your internet browser try to directly visit and see if it can be open? If not, I’m afraid you have to change the firewall limit.

 Thank you for your help and quick answer. I think it must be our firewall limit. Since our software is China national and confidential, the firewall setting is we can not visit Internet but maps.google.com. We can only get information from Internet but can not send out anything. Could you tell me more detail about what we must open in firewall, like protocol, ports-setting.Maybe it is too much for you. But both IT and I have no idea about the problem. Any suggestion will be appreciated.

 Sorry I don’t know your firewall setting and I’m not familiar with that, my suggestion is get the request url and keep modify your file wall setting until you can directly visit the url in your IE browser.
