Question on the GeoPen properties

I'm using a GeoPen with the Canvas.DrawLine method.  I have set the GeoPen.DashStyle to Dashed, and to Dot, but I do not see any difference in the lines that are drawn.   I'm using a pen width of 1.    Is there something else I must do?

Thanks for your post and ticket.
 
I did a comparison between the dash and dot, and did find some difference between them even it is very minor one; I think the dot one is smaller in its rendering line segment. Following are the two snapshots, hope it make sense.
