Hi,
As you know each shapefile has projection and this projection is saved in .prj file.
1- How we can read the projection of opened shape file?
2-is it possible to read the projection of FDO extensions file? if Yes How?
Regards,

Ben,
We don’t support the .prj file for right now, but we are doing on it, hope we could finish it soon and then we can integrate it to our MapSuiteCore. The time can not be estimated, I think it will be done at next public release at latest.
Sorry for inconvenience.
Thanks,
James
Many thanks for you answer,
Obviously to show any spatial data you need the projection, so any Featurelayer(shapefileFeatureLayer, ....) should have projection.
my question is : how we can find the projection of ShapefileFeatureLayer(or which property of ShapefileFeatureLayer has projection value)?
Regards,
Ben
Ben,
Sorry for inconvenience, you can not find the projection of ShapefileFeatureLayer so far, as you know we are working on .prj file support, and I have checked our development team, it’s pretty close to complete.
Thanks,
James
Thanks
You’re welcome.
Is this supported yet?
Yes, this is now supported. For details on how to implement check out the Projection by Analyzing a Prj File sample on the Wiki at:

Thanks!
It works great…thanks!
Michael,
