Reading prj files

Greetings,


Is there any way or are there currently any plans to read projection data from *.prj files?  It would be really nice to read this data, especially when allowing users to load data dynamically from a variety of sources.

 Thanks for you post. 
  
 I am sorry that currently we did not support reading from *.prj files. We already added this item to our work tracking system. Hopefully, we can support it in the future.
