Routing using Google Layer

Can we do routing using the Google layer only in Desktop edition. I do not have any shape file for streets.

Yes we can use google direction service. But how do we use the Map Suite Routing engine with google direction service. I couldn’t find any example. All the examples use the shape files.

Hi Anik,



The Map Suite Routing Engine is an extension of Map Suite products, which is provided for the users to deal with their own data and do the route, sorry that we don’t provide any functionalities working with 3rd part service engine. But a walk around it that, as far as I know, we could get a xml result(attahced) from google and parse its points on the road then use these points to build a lineshape then our desktop coud display the lineshape.
