What do I need to have in order to build RTG file for my local area?

RTG File
You simply need a routable line based shapefile. And to be routable, you need at least to have your line based shapefile to represent a network with connecting roads or pipes. You don’t necessarily need column information. Once you build the RTG file, you should be able to do routing.
