ScaleBar Breaks

I'm new to your software, but my company has been using it for a while.  It looks very slick.


We recently upgraded to v5.0.  We recently noticed that the scalebar behaviour seems to have changed.


 


Pre 5.0, you could be zoomed way into the map and the scale would be shown in feet.  As you zoom out, it eventually changes to miles.  It wouldn't change until the miles unit made sense in that there was actually at least 1 mile in the scale.


 


Now it seems, it is switching to Miles as you zoom out too early.  Because of this, the scalebar shows 0 Miles as we are rounding the value.


We would like for the change from feet to miles to only occur once the distance is around 5000 feet.  Is there a way to set the break point for when the unit of measure changes on the scalebar?

I have fixed the problem and you can try it again with new dll package at version 5.0.82.0
 
About set the break point for changing unit, I am afraid we don't provide any API to do it, and it will bring many changes in "ScaleBarAdornmentLayer" class to support this new feature, if it's important for your scenario, you can submit it to our enhancement tracker. helpdesk.thinkgeo.com/EnhancementTracker

Did nautical miles get added to the scale bar in the V5 release? I haven’t updated yet.
