Screen Coordinates To World

Hi! Please, help me  transfer  screen coordinates to the world. I load the shape files to my project. Area of loading so wide that world coordinates do not show correctly. For exaple, (208.7654,  3 908.3400).  How can I connect my map (Red Sea region in my case) to the world coordinates? Thank you.

What do you mean "world coordinates do not show correctly"? If you get for example (208.7654,  3 908.3400), those are probably the actual X and Y values in world coordinate. Your shapefile is just not in Longitude/Latitude, it is in some other projections such as UTM. When you say "How can I connect my map to world coordinates", do you mean how can I get the Longitude/Latitude values? If this is the case, then this is a projection issue, not an issue of transfering screen coordinates to the world.

Certainly, I looked through those samples, but ....


If before loading shape files I determine the CurrentExtent as (-95,-160,95,160)  to fit them into control I do not see my map.


If the CurrentExtent is (195,3999,225,3875), here it is. I see my map, but I can't make convertation to world coordinates. That is my problem.

 I guess your data unit may not be in DecimalDegree, Could you have a try on the other units? If possible, could you send us your data, we can do some verifications against it.

Gentlemen, I did it :) Thank for Val and his projection issue :) In Documentation Folder I found projectionString for my map region. Thanks
