.shp files

Hello,


I am new on map suit and trying to create some samples . On quick start guide there is an example for Mexico, which has mexico.shp file. Where can I find the shp file for Turkey?

This is a very similar question on this post: gis.thinkgeo.com/Support/Discussion...fault.aspx. But this for restricting the view of the World Map Kit to Turkey.


 For finding shapefiles on Turkey, there is the World Map Data, gis.thinkgeo.com/Products/Standalon...fault.aspx. This is a little bit an overkill because it has the data for the entire world.


Otherwise, I would recommend looking for geographic data with the national institute of Geography of Turkey or the equivalent. There is also Open Street Map openstreetmap.org/ which is the wiki for spatial data.


For paying data, probably the most comprehensive data can be found with Navteq navteq.com/
