this is to add to the opther post where I state that simple marker overlay does not work when simple marker overlay is not having a inmemory marker overlay defined inside the map too. I try to use the drag marker on the simple marker overlay without success.
the current map version is 6.0.322 today daily build.

ps: overlay are all defined inside razor and populated from with the controler maily using Ajaxcall function.

Have you got any javascript exception? We have a sample that shows the drag marker, this sample only have a SimpleMarkerOverlay without an InMemoryMarker Overlay, can you try that sample and compare with yours?

Please use the sample that has been provided with the sample marker overlay issue, keep the smo layer and add the drag marker option to the smo layer. You should see that the marker does not drag on the map.
I am finding issues I believe mainly when doing work from within controllers. I think that you should provide more samples where the razor views should only be used to define the layers without populating them. Populating layers/ overlays should be done from within controllers! In real life this is what I do, I have very little need to populate from within a razor view.
