UpdatePanel

 Hi,


i'm using Map Suite Web Edition Evaluation ver 4.0.40


I'm using Visual Studio 2005 with Framework 2.0.


When I put the map control on a UpdatePanel and I do a click the server-side code is executed but the map disappear.


I've tried the attached example (it's your example for using UpdatePanel I've found on this forum): in visual studio 2005 it doesn't works, in visual studio 2010 it works.


What can I do?

Hi, Egbert
Can you attach the sample for us or show us which post provides the sample code? So that we can address it quickly. In fact, from last release on, and we only include samples based on VS2008 and VS2010; the target framework of WebEdition has been upgraded to .net framework 3.5.
So I guess the best choice is to upgrade your visual studio. Anyway, we also want to know why the error occurs.

there's a problem.


I cannot upload my example becuase it exceeds the maximum size allowed.

I’m sorry we didn’t get your demo. We created a sample following your description, but all works fine. Can you have a check that there is any different with yours?

The difference is that I don't have this istruction in my page:



<%@ Register Assembly="System.Web.Extensions, Version=1.0.61025.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35" ....

 Glad to hear that it works now. The Asp.net AJAX is just an extension of VS2005, so we need to register all the extension control manually. Hope everything goes well with you.
