Hi
We are deploying a solution for a client where we make use of ThinkGeo’s integration with Google Map - but are running into problems with our request for Google Map data (apparently) being blocked by a firewall or similar. We have been able to capture the URL ThinkGeo uses when accessing google and have tried the same URL with Internet Explorer and wget.exe.
- The URL succeeds when submitted from Internet Explorer and we end with a nice picture displayed in the browser
- The URL fails when submitted from wget.exe with a connection refused error message
If we change the URL protocol from HTTP to HTTPS we succeed with both IE and wget. Our question is then if there is a supported method for having ThinkGeo talking with google on HTTPS? (We currently use ThinkGeo 6.x)
Thanks for any assistance
Lars
PS We could (and maybe) should ask our client to reconfigure their firewall; but if there is a simple way of shifting from HTTP to HTTPS I feel we could save hours or days of discussion
