I would need to use an up-to-date map in Europe and that is the reason why i am thinking in using maps from Navteq or TeleAtlas, but i have the following doubt:
- What is the proper format needed for displaying these maps in Map Suite (shapefiles maybe)?

ShapeFile format is the best one for Map Suite, which also supports SQL Server2008, Oracle, Postgre etc. Please refer to the linke gis.thinkgeo.com/Support/DiscussionForums/tabid/143/aff/16/aft/6206/afv/topic/Default.aspx for formats that can be used in MapSuite.
