I am wondering whether there is an alternative to the GoogleMapsOverlay, but using OpenStreetMap data. I noticed there is some OpenStreetMap support in the WebEdition, is it possible to port it into the Desktop edition or not ? Please forgive me, if I completely misunderstood the problem and thought about something that's entirely impossible.

We are going to work on that starting Monday of next week. My guess would be that we could haver you something by the mid to end of next week. I have always wanted to get that in and it is easy enough I think.

Thanks for your interests in Map Suite component. I know that the OpenStreetMap is integrated into Web Edition thanks for the interface provided by OpenLayers. For Desktop Edition, we need to create a brand new Overlay just like the GoogleMapsOverlay, it is already on our working schedule, hope we can get it soon, sorry for the inconvenience for now.

Just kindly remind you that we have added the OpenStreetMapLayer for the Service Edition and OpenStreetMapOverlay for the Desktop Edition. Just take a try if you are interested.

I have a question. Where is it possible to change the URL pointing to OSM servers ?
We have a local OSM tile server and would like to link our OpenStreetMapOverlay() call to this server instead of internet one.
