Is there any plans to add WrapDatelineMode to MarkerOverlay as it is in LayerOverlay?

Ryan,
Thanks for asking. We don’t have plan to add WrapDatelineMode to MarkerOverlay for right now but we can implement it by following the similar logic of LayerOverlay just might have some minor issues, such as Drag marker.
Thanks,
James
I understand the potential difficulties with marker drag… it would be a really nice feature seeing as how if you create an application using date line wrap, it would be really confusing to users why markers aren’t where they placed them if they pan across the dateline, especially when users are used to using something like Google Earth.
.Ryan.
Hi Ryan,
Before ThinkGeo introduced the WrapDatelineMode in LayerOverlay I was considering a workarround that may be usable in MarkerOverlay if you polish it a bit; The idea was to "move" the markers from one "world" to other as you pan so they are in the closest position to the center of the current extent. I mean, imagine the center of your extent is 0º (long) and you have a marker at 170E, then there is a difference of +170 if placed in the current "world", or -190 if placed in the left "virtual" world. Hence, when you pan to the left more than 10º the marker would jump to the left "virtual world". This calc would be done every time the CurrentExtent changes, arranging all the markers to the nearest place.
I discarded MarkerOverlay for me, so I don't know if markers accept coordinates beyond 180º, what's is the only requirement for this to work.
Carlos.
Ryan, Carlos,
I know the development team is working on a comprehensive solution for WrapDatelineMode that will address in one general approach all the overlays such as MarkerOverlay. In the meantime, I suggest you can check out the various Code Community samples that have been published on that subject and they will give a more concrete idea of "virtual world" as Carlos mentioned. You will see in those samples some implementations using a custom offset projection for having features displayed in the "virtual world"

Dear Val,
Would it be possible to know what’s the status of the “comprehensive solution for WrapDatelineMode” works? and what’s new on Wpf Desktop edition?
Carlos,
I passed this post to the Wpf development team so that they can fill you in exactely on this issue. You should hear from them later today or at the latest tomorrow. Thank you.
Carlos,
We have started preparing the May Release so I'm afraid the progress for this feature might be slow. Maybe later next week we can have something. About the question "what's new on Wpf Desktop edition?", here attached is the changelog so far since last public release in November 1st 2010, we can have more when the main release comes.
Thanks,
Ben

Dear Ben,
Thanks a lot for the info, and being so transparent on the development status. It’s very interesting to know that’s new and what’s comming.
Carlos,
Thanks for your suggestion on WPF desktop edition, currently we are busy on the May Release and we have added this new feature to our issue list, if there are any updates we will let you know, please keep your eyes on our forum,
Thanks,
Scott,
No problem, Carlos.
Maybe a bit too early, but can't help letting you know we are working on an EnhancementTracker system, in which users can vote on every issue to help us decide how important each issue is. I'm not sure if it is ready to public but anyway, let you know and have a look. :-)

Ben
Have there been any new updates to this problem of wrapping the marker overlay along with the map when wrapping the Dateline?
Ben,
Sorry for the inconvenience, the WrappingMode property has not been added to marker overlay for this release and it is still in our plan, if there are any updates I will let you know,
Thanks,
Scott,
